Meet the Maker: Mezam Apparel

Mezam Apparel makes unbelievably cool leggings, bags, and athleisure wear with African prints. The leggings are made in California and manufactured at a female-owned factory. The small batch production and high quality athletic material really caught our eye. Mezam Apparel’s styles are designed with your style and movement in mind. In addition to celebrating African fashion and art these leggings are both fashionable and high-performance. Go ahead! Dance, stretch and run with Mezam, from the yoga studio to your favorite brunch spot.

Meet Mezam’s creator, Manka Azefor Saturday, Dec 8 from 12-5PM.

Dec 9

Meet the Maker: Hadiya Williams

Hadiya Williams is the creator and founder of Black Pepper Paperie Co., a stationery design and maker’s studio that creates goods & wares that inspire creativity, activate joy, and produce memorable experiences. We’ve been stalking her collection of Afrofuturist jewelry, paper goods, and design items for a while, and we’re thrilled to have her in store.

Meet Hadiya Sunday Dec. 9 from 12-5PM.

Dec 15-17

Ann Marie Evans and Don Rozwi

Ann Marie will bring her fabulous creations on December 15 and 16.  Along with her selection of necklaces, bracelets, brooches, she’s also decided to feature some one of a kind pieces for men.  (You asked, we answered)

Along with her will be Don Rozwi , an artist she discovered at Trade Secret’s event and suggested he would be a great addition. His leather pouches and bags make a truly great gift.

Big and Small, we can only give you a bird’s eye view of all the things in Zawadi for the holiday. Please mark your calendars and we can’t wait to see you.
