Cheikh Keita part of the younger generation of Senegalese artists following in the footsteps of such luminaries as Souleymane Keita, Djibril Ndiaye and so many others (I mention these two because I knew them).   He is very ingrained in cultural aspects of Senegal.  While he has painted in hombres with a dash of color, these paintings were  part of “Coiffes et Parures”, an exhibit in June 2021 at Arte Gallery in Dakar.  He focuses on the fabulous head wraps of African women and displays his mastery of color and content.

He has displayed in Serengeti Gallery in Md. and Akazi Gallery in Atlanta Georgia.
